Most of my “where is this feature?” answers used to live in three places at once: a SaaS column, a Slack thread, and whatever was in my head that morning. For a small API integration last week I wanted a fourth option that was none of those: the repo itself.

dsh-delivery-board keeps stages, owners, a handoff audit, soft WIP hints, a local kanban + calendar Timeline, and a client weekly Markdown report in one in-repo file (
delivery.json
). Views are projections of that state. You can run it with
npx
today — no DeepSeek Harness required (the DSH plugin path still exists if you want
/delivery
).

This post is a concrete walkthrough of one card from backlog to live. (Earlier posts covered the plugin and the v0.2.0 standalone release; here the focus is the day-to-day loop.)

Initialize a lite board

npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board init ACME lite

lite
= Backlog → Doing → Review → Live. Prefer that unless you need the longer
default
(ToB) or
governance
pipelines.

Card in, then move when work actually moves

npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board card "API integration" backlog Ada
npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board move "API integration" doing

JSON forms also work (
card '{"title":"…","stage":"doing","owner":"Ada"}'
). Stages and cards accept id or name/title.

Handoffs that match reality

A cross-stage move appends one audit line. Same-stage owner changes become decisions, not handoffs. If you intentionally skip a column (Doing → Live), you get one line — not synthetic intermediate hops. That keeps the Friday weekly honest.

Board + Timeline on loopback

npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board open

Bind is
127.0.0.1
with a random capability path — keep the URL private; Ctrl+C stops the server. Drag to Review, then Live, or use Edit → Stage. The Timeline view draws calendar bars from created → each real handoff → shipped/archived/today.

Text-only check:

npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board board

Weekly Markdown without rewriting Slack

npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board weekly
# npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board weekly 2026-10-20

Pipeline snapshot, shipped this week, real handoffs, open / resolved risks, optional next bets. Offline snapshot:
html
.

Scope check

This is delivery context for one codebase, reviewable in PRs — not a replacement for org-wide PM suites. Soft WIP limits warn; they never refuse a move. Optional:

Stages, handoffs, WIP limits, a weekly report, and a Timeline view all read and write one file (
delivery.json
by default).

It is for one repository: who owns a card, what "done" means, and what moved this week. It is not a replacement for Jira, Linear, or Notion.

What it tracks

Stages. Two templates ship with it. The default pipeline runs from client requirements through analysis, design, development, testing, launch, and live. The governance template is Plan, Analyze, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Live. You can add, rename, or remove stages after init. Removing a stage that still has cards asks you to migrate them first.

Handoffs. Moving a card to another stage records who handed it to whom. Changing the owner without changing the stage is stored as a decision, not a handoff.

WIP. Each stage can have an optional soft WIP limit. The board warns when a stage is over the limit. Moves are not blocked.

Weekly. The weekly command writes a Markdown client report: pipeline snapshot, what shipped this week, handoffs, open risks, risks resolved this week, and optional next-week notes.

Timeline. A calendar view of every card. Bars follow real dates (created, each stage handoff, shipped, archived, or today), with a today line, week and month gridlines, and due markers. Cards with no dates sit in a tray. Search and owner filters match the kanban.

The local board is a loopback page on 127.0.0.1. Drag a card between columns to move it. Edits save back to the same file. There is also a read-only HTML snapshot for people who are not running the tool.

Run it

Standalone. No DeepSeek Harness install. Needs Node 20 or newer:

npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board

Typical commands:

npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board init '{"customer":"ACME","template":"governance"}'
npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board open
npx github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board weekly

open
keeps the process running until you stop it. The board URL is local and unguessable. Treat it as private to that machine.

The same project also works as a DeepSeek Harness plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:jerryxff26-alt/dsh-delivery-board

Inside DSH,
/delivery
is a skill: you describe the outcome, and the tools persist stages, cards, and handoffs. Direct commands are under
/delivery-admin
. It has been tested with DSH 0.2.1-rc.2, and earlier with 0.2.0-rc.2. DSH is still a developer preview.
